Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ken Striker (ranked 5307 p4p, 398 weight class) and Rio Silva (ranked 1490 p4p, 165 weight class). Silva has chosen Eye of the Tiger as his entrance music. Rio Silva will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rio Silva!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Tiny Johnson and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Striker displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Silva.
Silva scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Striker shoots in and bounces Silva off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Striker stops Silva from standing up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silva pushes Striker off and scrambles back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Striker misses with a two punch combination.
Silva scores with a jab to the head.
It looks like Ken Striker has been cut.
Silva shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
