Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jan Snow (ranked 3513 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rickson Silva (ranked 22450 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jan Snow! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rickson Silva ! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Franklyn Lucas and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva clinches up against the cage. Snow breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Snow throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Silva sees it coming and avoids it easily. Silva fails with an attempt to clinch.
A swing and a miss from Snow. Snow throws a sloppy head kick and Silva moves out of range easily. Silva fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Snow checks it well. Snow misses with a left hand and Silva counters with a nice uppercut.
It looks like Jan Snow has been cut. Snow tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Silva was well out of range. Poor timing from Snow. Silva keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Silva takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Snow's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Silva connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Snow scrambles back to his feet. Silva tries to clinch there but Snow circles away.
Silva avoids the head kick by Snow.
A combination from Snow does no damage. Silva defending well as Snow loads up on a big left hand. Silva closes the distance and pushes Snow back into the cage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Silva is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Snow is pressed up against the cage. Silva has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Snow down to the mat. Snow avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva looks to land a combination but Snow avoids it well. Jan Snow is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Snow lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Snow throws a hook to the side of Silva 's head but Silva sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Silva shoots in looking for a takedown but Snow manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Silva 's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Snow throws a lazy right hand but Silva sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Snow throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Snow scores with a head kick. Silva tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
It looks like Rickson Silva has been cut. Silva will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Jan Snow has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rickson Silva . Snow throws a hook but Silva blocks it. Silva tries to clinch there but Snow circles away.
Silva shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Snow pinned against the cage. Snow gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Silva . Silva throws a head kick that misses. Snow misses with a lunging right hand
and Silva counters with a nice uppercut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silva is looking to clinch but Snow is avoiding it.
Snow lands with a kick to the temple. Silva shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Silva fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. An attempted straight right counter from Snow misses the target. Silva is looking to clinch. Snow misses with a jab, cross combination.
Snow connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Silva tries to clinch there but Snow circles away.
Snow pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Nice jab there from Snow. Snow displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Silva . Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Snow.
Silva will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up but Snow swats him away and circles back towards the center. Snow throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Silva crumples to the floor and the fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Jan Snow! Jan Snow tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
