Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lev Davidovitch Bronstein!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Marcus Pickett!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, William Peck and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Pickett counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lev Davidovitch Bronstein. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Bronstein fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Pickett sprawls well initially but Bronstein persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Bronstein is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Still in half guard, Bronstein seems content to control.
Bronstein lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Bronstein lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Bronstein passes into side control, despite Pickett's attempt to control the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bronstein works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Bronstein tries to score with some ground and pound. Pickett controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
We've been hearing that Bronstein has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Pickett really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bronstein. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Bronstein is staying tight to Pickett's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Pickett is still in real trouble! Can Bronstein finish him?
Bronstein has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
A big shot lands for Bronstein! That's hurt Pickett! Will he recover? Bronstein fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!

A less than humble Lev Davidovitch Bronstein misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
