Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, John Roberts and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brooks moves into range and clinches up with Jones.
Brooks tries to circle away but Jones has him pinned against the cage.
Brooks jumps guard and drags Jones to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Brooks is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Jones pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Brooks is keeping the position for now.
Jones is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Jones wants to control from the top but Brooks keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jones controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Brooks looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Brooks is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Jones working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Jones pushing down on Brooks's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Jones perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Jones wants to work for an arm triangle but Brooks is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Jones is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Brooks!
Jones mounts Brooks! Really nice guard pass there!

Jones takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.
Jones misses with a punch to the head.
Brooks rolls, trying to escape but Jones keeps control of the position.
Jones working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
Jones has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Brooks is defending well but eventually Jones manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Brooks has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
