Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Gunn (ranked 1642 p4p, 212 weight class) and Kordell Harris (ranked 2694 p4p, 322 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Gunn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kordell Harris! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, William Peck and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gunn throws a hook but Harris blocks it. Harris throws out a counter right but Gunn avoids it with no problem. Harris scores with a decent looking hook.
It looks like Mike Gunn has been cut. Harris connects with a body shot that sends Gunn's belly button to the back. Harris will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Gunn seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Harris connects with a body shot. Harris throws a series of punches but Gunn moves out of range. Sloppy strikes from Harris. Those never looked like landing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Harris throws a right hand that Gunn ducks under and follows up with a left that Gunn also avoids with ease. Gunn was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Harris throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gunn. Gunn appears to be looking for a big counter. Nice straight punches there by Harris. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Harris. Gunn dodges the punch combination from Harris.
That's one minute gone in the round. Harris scores with a nice right hand.
Gunn steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Harris. Gunn throwing a counter right hand but Harris manages to avoid it. Harris throws a big shot that misses. Gunn seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Harris takes a swing at Gunn's ribcage but misses. Gunn seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Harris scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

It looks like Kordell Harris has been cut. Harris lands a nice shot to the body.
Gunn looks to throw the jab but Harris is out of range. Gunn avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Gunn with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Harris to score with a decent uppercut. Harris has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Kordell Harris seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gunn takes one on the chin but seems OK.
This has been an exciting period of action! Gunn uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Harris. Harris connects with a single shot there. Harris misses with a few strikes there.

An attempted straight right counter from Gunn misses the target. Harris misses with a looping left. Harris throws an off balance right hand
and Gunn counters with a stiff right hand. Harris swings and misses with a shot to the body and Gunn counters with a lovely straight right hand! Gunn misses with a looping right. Gunn throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Harris stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Harris swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
letting Gunn counter with a right hand. Gunn throws a lazy right hand but Harris sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gunn defending well as Harris loads up on a big left hand. Gunn swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Harris lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gunn circles away quickly and effectively. Gunn swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Harris wants to counter the offense by Gunn and move into the clinch position. Gunn needs to keep his hands up - Harris had a free shot at his head there. Harris connects with a crisp jab. Gunn misses with a jab, cross combination.
Harris is pawing at Gunn, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Gunn's nose. Gunn is badly hurt! Harris pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Gunn tries desperately to hold on but Harris is relentless in his assault! As Gunn receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Harris away and this one is in the books!
