Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Balagot Liu (ranked 823 p4p, 94 weight class) and Sisu Sisu (ranked 964 p4p, 111 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Balagot Liu has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Balagot Liu seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Balagot Liu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sisu Sisu!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Sosuke Kotani.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sisu throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Liu moves away from the strike by Sisu.
An attempted straight right counter from Liu misses the target.
Liu looks to throw the jab but Sisu is out of range.
Liu misses with a low kick.

Sisu closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Liu quickly recovers to half guard.

Sisu is figuring out what he wants to do next.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Let's hope that Sisu has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Liu is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Sisu content to control rather than advance.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Sisu Sisu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A low kick from Liu misses

and Sisu counters with a single leg into guard. Liu didn't expect that.

Sisu controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
It looks like Sisu might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Sisu is continuing to stall.

Sisu throwing strikes but missing.
Sisu not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Sisu tries to bum rush Liu with a series of wild strikes but Liu uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Sisu changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Liu tries to avoid it but Sisu manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Liu to the ground. Liu escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Sisu misses with a looping left.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
That kick from Liu tenderised Sisu's leg. Sisu is trying to keep his angry face on.
Sisu scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Sisu closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Liu quickly recovers to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Sisu shoots in and bounces Liu off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Sisu tries to free his leg and advance position but Liu is retaining full guard.

Sisu stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Liu swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Sisu passes Liu's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Sisu is pressing down on Liu's thigh, looking to free his foot. Liu is holding on for now.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Liu tries to work over Sisu's front leg with a kick but Sisu checks it.
Sisu takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Sisu throws a body punch but Liu moves out of range.
Liu takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Sisu misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Liu.

Sisu feints and as Liu raises his hands in defense, Sisu changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Sisu stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Liu swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Liu is trying to control the position but Sisu postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sisu Sisu showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Sisu throws a shot from downtown. Liu moves away and avoids it.
Liu throws a leg kick which misses Sisu's front leg but catches the back leg as Sisu tries to avoid it.
Sisu fails with the takedown.
Sisu stuns Liu with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Liu misses with a hook. Sisu ducked under it nicely.
Sisu throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Sisu shoots in but no luck this time.
Sisu avoids the head kick by Liu.
Sisu changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
An inside leg kick lands from Liu.
Sisu slips under a jab from Liu.

Sisu tests Liu's chin there with a solid looking shot.
A chopping leg kick lands by Liu.

Sisu closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Sisu has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Sisu wants to control but Liu is keeping him busy.
Liu tries to control but Sisu manages to take his back.
Sisu is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
The adventures of Sisu the control monster continue. Boring.
Liu tries to escape but Sisu has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Sisu somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.
Liu is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Sisu Sisu is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Sisu has the hooks in. Liu is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Sisu has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Liu's body.
Balagot Liu has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

I've got Sisu winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
