Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Blasko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chong Harper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John Blasko could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Chong Harper's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Blasko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chong Harper! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jab, jab by Blasko - just one landing. Blasko moves in looking to clinch but Harper pushes him off. Danga de danga de dang - Harper scores with a four punch combination! Blasko swings for the body but Harper moves out of range.
Blasko shoots in and drives through. Harper sprawls well.
Blasko takes the fight into the clinch. A nice right hand lands inside from Blasko. Harper avoiding damage.
Harper escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Harper looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Blasko is fending him off so far but Harper persists. Nope, Blasko circles away and we're back to standing. Blasko throws a looping overhand right but Harper ducks down to avoid it. Harper shoots in and drives through. Blasko sprawls well. John Blasko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Blasko takes a kick to the side of the head. Harper fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. John Blasko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chong Harper. Blasko throws a head kick that misses. Harper checks a low kick from Blasko.

Blasko scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Harper throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.
Blasko stands up and beckons Harper to his feet. Harper drops his hands momentarily and Blasko takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Harper shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Blasko is looking for a sweep. Harper is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Harper is trying to control the action in half guard but Blasko is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Blasko controlling the position well. Blasko wants to control but Harper is keeping busy and won't allow it.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Harper looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Harper is controlling the pace.

Blasko is pressing down on Harper's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Blasko looking for a sweep. Not yet Blasko, not yet. Harper controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Harper drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Harper jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Blasko is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Blasko is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Blasko is breathing heavily.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Blasko tries to strike from the bottom.
Harper wants to pass the guard but Blasko is keeping the position. Blasko is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
 It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Blasko throws a jab when Harper was well out of range. Harper misses with a few strikes there.
A combination from Blasko does no damage. Blasko misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Harper.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Harper shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Blasko counters by clinching up. Harper has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Blasko avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Blasko escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Harper tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Blasko swivels and escapes. Harper wants to clinch up but Blasko keeps it at a distance. Blasko keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Blasko looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The crowd cheers as Blasko lands an impressive looking overhand right. Harper doesn't seem phased though.
Blasko looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Harper has hold of Blasko's hands but Blasko slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Blasko dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Blasko tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Blasko swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Blasko shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Harper's guard. Harper throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Harper will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Harper tries to land a sweep but no joy. Blasko trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Blasko stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Harper swivels though and keeps the full guard. Harper bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Blasko's guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Blasko can't keep his opponent in guard - Harper advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Harper looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Blasko with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Blasko throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Harper is nestled in close to Blasko, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Harper works his way into side control. Blasko might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Harper wants to lay and pray for a moment but Blasko keeps working. Blasko looking for a sweep but Harper has passed into full mount! Oh no! Blasko is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Blasko is trying desperately to improve position. Harper trying to control but he's not successful this time. Harper connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Blasko regains half guard. Harper seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Harper escapes and gets back to his feet.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Blasko is looking to land body kicks. Harper tries for a takedown but Blasko circles away easily and Blasko makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Harper really felt that one! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that John Blasko will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Blasko closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Blasko lands in his opponent's guard. Harper pulls Blasko in close to prevent any damage. Harper is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Harper is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Blasko wants to pass the guard but Harper is keeping the position. John Blasko overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
 Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Blasko wants to clinch up but Harper keeps it at a distance. Blasko tries to clinch but Harper moves out of range. Blasko lands with a shot to the body. A low kick from Blasko is predictable there and Harper counters with a left and a right that stings Blasko. Harper misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Blasko scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
 That's two minutes gone in the round.
Blasko closes the distance and pushes Harper back into the cage. Harper is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Harper tries to close the distance and clinch up but Blasko swats him away and circles back towards the center. Harper gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Blasko holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Blasko throws a head kick that misses and Blasko takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Blasko tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Harper paws at him with a jab and circles away. Blasko misses with a leg kick
and Harper counters with a nice double leg into side control. Blasko won't be happy with that. Harper working away. Blasko is looking for a sweep. Blasko wants to control but Harper postures up. Harper is looking to take a break and control but Blasko is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Chong Harper has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Harper thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Harper looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Blasko manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. John Blasko is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Harper missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Harper is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Blasko sees it coming and defends easily. Harper thows a huge punch but Blasko dodges it nicely.
And that's the end of the fight! John Blasko showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Blasko, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
