Coming up we have a middleweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between DJ Augustus (ranked 776 p4p, 111 weight class) and Gene Parmesan (ranked 1920 p4p, 241 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the middleweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 7 wins and 4 losses; DJ Augustus ! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Gene Parmesan!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.

Augustus closes the distance and clinches up with Parmesan, looking for a takedown. Augustus pushes Parmesan against the cage but Parmesan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Augustus looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Augustus pushes Parmesan up against the cage in a clinch.
Parmesan jumps into guard, dragging Augustus to the mat.
Augustus is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Augustus wants to control from the top but Parmesan keeps moving.
Augustus stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Parmesan swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Augustus wants to pass the guard but Parmesan is keeping the position.
Augustus slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Augustus is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Parmesan defends well.
Augustus working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Parmesan doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Parmesan manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Parmesan working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Parmesan is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Parmesan has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Augustus to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Parmesan is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Augustus pulls down on the head and he's put Parmesan to sleep! This one is all over!
