TWGC 27 (145lbs, D1): Montreal Qualifier - Round 1 PBP Commentary


Coming up we have a featherweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Chester Drawers (ranked 3611 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gustavo Santos (ranked 15053 p4p, 283 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the featherweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of London, with a TWGC record of 4 wins and 2 losses; Chester Drawers! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 15 wins and 8 losses; Gustavo Santos!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Elvis Blanc and Yves DeLean.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Drawers clinches with his opponent.
Drawers goes for a takedown attempt but Santos pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Santos has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Drawers after a bit of a struggle.

Santos drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Santos jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Santos is the more experienced fighter here and he's going to need to draw on some of that experience if he's going to pull this one out the bag.

Santos isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Drawers stacks Santos on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Drawers!
