The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight moves into the clinch position. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Herzog Hearn just misses with a elbow thrown towards Bergstrem's brow. Bergstrem has Herzog Hearn pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Bergstrem pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Herzog Hearn tumbling to the mat - Bergstrem dives into Herzog Hearn's guard. Bergstrem content to stall in guard here. Bergstrem wants to control from the top but Herzog Hearn keeps moving. Herzog Hearn is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Bergstrem pushes down on Herzog Hearn's leg and manages to get into half guard. Bergstrem prevents Herzog Hearn from improving his position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Bergstrem in particular looking to stall. Bergstrem is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Herzog Hearn defends it well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Daniel Bergstrem is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Herzog Hearn is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Bergstrem. Bergstrem throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Herzog Hearn. Bergstrem fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Herzog Hearn appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Bergstrem throws a series of punches but Herzog Hearn moves out of range. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Herzog Hearn avoids a punch combination nicely.
Herzog Hearn unleashes a big counter combination but Bergstrem bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Herzog Hearn rushes Bergstrem and presses him up against the cage. Bergstrem has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Herzog Hearn uses from the top position. Herzog Hearn manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Bergstrem keeping moving, preventing Herzog Hearn from controlling successfully. Bergstrem utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Bergstrem avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Bergstrem escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Herzog Hearn gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Bergstrem working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Herzog Hearn doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Herzog Hearn manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Herzog Hearn avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bergstrem is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Herzog Hearn pushes Bergstrem off looking to stand but Bergstrem dives back in and keeps control.
