Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Enzo Momota (ranked 2998 p4p, 0 weight class) and Isaac Jaffey (ranked 4632 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Enzo Momota! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Isaac Jaffey! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jaffey tries a head kick but it misses.
Momota swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Jaffey ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Momota moves away. Momota defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jaffey. Momota swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Jaffey fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Jaffey closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Momota quickly recovers to half guard. Momota tries to kick Jaffey off but Jaffey keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Momota really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Momota keeps control of the position for the meantime. Jaffey wants to free his trapped foot but Momota is holding on for dear life with his legs. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Momota makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Momota. Jaffey seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jaffey missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Momota controls Jaffey momentarily but Jaffey frees himself. Momota knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jaffey on the ground. Momota tries to land a sweep but no joy. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Jaffey controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. A big right from Jaffey misses. Jaffey tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Momota blocks the body kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Momota connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Momota avoids a kick to the body.
Momota appears to be looking for a big counter. Enzo Momota is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Jaffey feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Jaffey is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Momota is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jaffey defends well. Momota is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Momota wants to control the position but Jaffey says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Jaffey is nestled in close to Momota, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Momota is trying to control but Jaffey passes into side control!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Jaffey controlling the position. Momota tries to improve position but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jaffey slows the pace down. Jaffey wants to control but Momota is keeping him busy. Jaffey has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Momota! Momota tries to hold on but Jaffey pushes him away. Jaffey takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Momota is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Momota taking shots to the head. Jaffey tries to control but Momota wriggling away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Isaac Jaffey dominated that round. That's time! Momota's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Momota lands with a straight right. Jaffey didn't see that one coming. Momota keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Momota keeps the fight on the outside. A big left from Jaffey misses. It looked like Momota wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Momota lunges at Jaffey with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Jaffey's hand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A swing and a miss from Jaffey. Momota listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Jaffey gets in close and instigates a clinch. Jaffey wants to get back to striking at distance but Momota won't allow it.

Jaffey is trying to pull guard but Momota turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Enzo Momota has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Isaac Jaffey. Momota misses with a punch on the inside.
Jaffey has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. A head punch blocked on the inside by Jaffey. Momota has a couple of punches blocked by Jaffey.

Momota fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
A short right from Momota on the inside. Momota throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Jaffeys head. A shot in the inside from Momota. Jaffey is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Momota lands with a left to the head. Momota throws a head punch that misses.

Momota lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Momota makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Momota misses with a punch on the inside.
Momota gets through Jaffey's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Momota scores with a shoulder strike. Momota swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Jaffey wants to break the clinch but can't.
Jaffey has Momota pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Momota manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Momota. Momota misses with a hook from the clinch. Jaffey blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Jaffey jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Momota walks away with a smile on his face. Jaffey gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Enzo Momota seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jaffey has a takedown stuffed. Momota works the jab nicely. Jaffey has a takedown stuffed. Momota throws a big counter combination but Jaffey scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Momota scores with a jab. Jaffey acknowledges it with a nod of the head. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jaffey is defended easily by Momota. A little feinted left hand from Momota on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Momota is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Jaffey can do to turn this around?
That's four minutes gone in the round. Momota lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Momota looks to land a right hand but Jaffey moved out of range. Jaffey shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Momota pinned against the cage. Momota gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Isaac Jaffey is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Decent striking displayed by Momota there. Jaffey doesn't succeed with the takedown and Momota counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Enzo Momota dominated that second round. That's time! Momota's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!
Jaffey looks to score with a jab to the body but Momota is just out of range. Momota moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Momota uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Momota thuds his right hand into Jaffey's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Momota cracks Jaffey with a good jab. Momota with a hook. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Jaffey. Jaffey tries to move into range but Momota moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Jaffey shoots in for a takedown but Momota shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Momota avoids a punch combination nicely.
Horrible takedown attempt by Jaffey or perhaps it was just good defense by Momota, which made it look bad. Momota uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Jaffey has time to react.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jaffey shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Momota as he jumps to the side. Momota is looking for a counter combo. Enzo Momota has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Isaac Jaffey. Momota displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jaffey. Momota is looking to counter punch. Momota is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Momota scores with a hook. Jaffey shoots in looking for a takedown but Momota manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jaffey's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Jaffey throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Momota's waist but Momota gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jaffey off to one side. It looked like Momota wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Jaffey takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Momota bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Jaffey defending well as Momota loads up on a big left hand. Jaffey on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Enzo Momota is winning the standup battle so far. Jaffey shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Momota pushes Jaffey off and gets back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Nice cross by Momota. Momota lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. A big left from Momota misses. Momota throws a lazy right hand but Jaffey sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Jaffey tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Momota defends well and Jaffey ends up having to push Momota into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Momota getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Momota throws out a powerful jab. Momota misses with a straight left. Momota lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Jaffey moves away from the strike by Momota.

and Jaffey counters with a two punch combo. Jab from Momota. Jaffey has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Momota finds it's way round the side to connect with Jaffey's head. Jaffey with a poor takedown and Jaffey takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Jaffey takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Nice defenses there by Jaffey. Momota ducks under a wild hook from Jaffey. Jaffey uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Momota. Momota is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Momota connects with a single shot there. Momota misses with a left hand letting Jaffey counter with a right hand. Momota throws a hook to the side of Jaffey's head but Jaffey sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Jaffey changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Jaffey shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Momota as he jumps to the side.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Horrible takedown attempt by Jaffey or perhaps it was just good defense by Momota, which made it look bad. Momota was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Jaffey is looking to clinch but Momota is avoiding it.
Jaffey moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. A telegraphed right hand from Momota misses the target. Jaffey is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Jaffey tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Momota counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Momota keeps the fight on the outside. Momota looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. A countering left hand to the body from Jaffey misses. Jaffey gets the takedown into side control. Momota stops Jaffey from passing to mount.
And that's the end of the fight! Enzo Momota showed his dominance in that final round. I think Momota has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
