Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jan Erik Ris (ranked 6195 p4p, 440 weight class) and Sukalem Hasangjekaj (ranked 25028 p4p, 485 weight class). Sukalem Hasangjekaj will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Lou da Vinci and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ris drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Ris could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Ris sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Hasangjekaj's guard.

Hasangjekaj is trying to escape the position but Ris is controlling the position.
Ris's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Ris is trying to get an arm triangle but Hasangjekaj is defending well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

If it seems like I'm not saying a lot, it's just because Ris is stinking the place up with his stalling.

Hasangjekaj is trying to maintain the position but Ris is very close to passing his half guard.

Ris is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Hasangjekaj to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Hasangjekaj shrugs it off.

Ris has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Hasangjekaj is defending well but eventually Ris manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Hasangjekaj has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
