Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Alan Buckets (ranked 4572 p4p, 449 weight class) and Brian Ortiz (ranked 4625 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Alan Buckets! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Brian Ortiz! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Colin Fotheringham and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Buckets lands with a thumping leg kick.
Ortiz darts in trying to clinch and Buckets counters with a stiff right hand. Buckets shoots in and bounces Ortiz off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Ortiz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Buckets. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Buckets's corner is telling him to maintain position. Buckets throwing strikes from guard but Ortiz blocks nicely. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buckets sitting in guard here, content to control. Buckets has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Ortiz lands a jab to the nose. Ortiz takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Ortiz tries to clinch there but Buckets circles away.
Buckets gets the takedown into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Buckets will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Buckets seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Ortiz for as long as he can get away with. Ortiz is looking to regain half guard here but Buckets keeps moving and retains side control. Buckets moves into full mount! Buckets punching from mount but Ortiz doing a good job of avoiding damage. Buckets throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Ortiz because Buckets loaded up on that one. Buckets controlling the pace for now. Buckets continues to stall. Buckets throws some wild stikes that Ortiz manages to avoid easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buckets dominating with strikes here. Buckets throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Buckets has control of Ortiz's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Ortiz regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Ortiz can't escape the position.
Buckets avoids the attempt from Ortiz to control. Buckets misses with a head shot. Buckets controlling from the full mount. Ortiz wants to hold on but Buckets pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Buckets connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Buckets controlling his opponent. This is a sustained period of stalling by Buckets. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Buckets continues to hold on tight. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Buckets jabs Ortiz right on the nose. Ortiz blinks but takes it well. Ortiz closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Buckets to the mat! Buckets manages to get full guard. Ortiz won't allow Buckets to sweep him here. Buckets managing to control the position. Buckets is trying to control the position from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buckets keeping moving, preventing Ortiz from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Buckets holds on and takes a little breather. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Buckets is trying to control the position from the bottom.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Buckets connects with a jab. Buckets is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Ortiz can do to turn this around? Buckets jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Buckets throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ortiz wants to counter with a clinch but Buckets pushes him away. Ortiz takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Buckets turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Buckets connects with a body shot that sends Ortiz's belly button to the back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Buckets lands with a good body shot. Brian Ortiz is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Ortiz closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Buckets to the mat! Buckets manages to get full guard. Buckets pulls Ortiz in close to his closed guard and prevents Ortiz from doing any damage or advancing position. Buckets looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ortiz is one step ahead there. Ortiz pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Buckets is keeping the position for now. Ortiz is breathing heavily. Buckets wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Buckets has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Ortiz trying to control but Buckets is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buckets managing to control the position. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Buckets lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Buckets sitting in guard here, content to control. Buckets pushing down on Ortiz's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Buckets throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Buckets thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ortiz's head. Ortiz tries to get to full guard but Buckets has control of the leg. Buckets is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alan Buckets dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Ortiz has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Buckets finds it's way round the side to connect with Ortiz's head. Buckets gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Buckets wants to sweep but no luck. Buckets bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ortiz's guard. Buckets showing good wrestling skills to control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ortiz has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Buckets off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Ortiz takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Buckets lands an overhand right. Buckets scoring well with a low kick there.
Buckets tests Ortiz's chin there with a solid looking shot. Ortiz has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Buckets finds it's way round the side to connect with Ortiz's head. Buckets feints and as Ortiz raises his hands in defense, Buckets changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Alan Buckets overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Buckets showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Alan Buckets is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Buckets passes Ortiz's left leg - he's now in half guard. Buckets throwing shots but Ortiz is blocking nicely. Buckets takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Ortiz trying to control from the bottom.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Buckets in particular looking to stall.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Ortiz closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Ortiz working away. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Buckets is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Ortiz is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Buckets manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Alan Buckets showed his dominance in that final round. Well Buckets has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
