Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Phillip Haba (ranked 1419 p4p, 180 weight class) and Rick Ambe (ranked 1993 p4p, 249 weight class). Ambe has chosen MASTER P - REPO as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Phillip Haba! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rick Ambe! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, David Hoff and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ambe misses with a right hand and Haba cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Haba moves out of range of the strikes. Ambe fails in his attempt to clinch. Haba lands with a right hand.
Ambe is rocked! Haba throws a hook to the side of Ambe's head but Ambe sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Ambe appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Ambe is still on wobbly legs! Can Haba finish him? Haba rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ambe moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Ambe seems to have recovered his senses. Ambe fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Haba sprawls well initially but Ambe persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Still in half guard, Ambe seems content to control. Haba has hold of Ambe's hands but Ambe slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Ambe working over Haba with some ground and pound. Haba looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Haba keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Ambe is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ambe working over Haba with some ground and pound. That's one minute gone in the round. Ambe looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Haba with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Ambe not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Ambe working Haba over with strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ambe passes to side control. Ambe in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Ambe has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Island Sparring. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Ambe wants to control but Haba is keeping him busy. The strikes coming from Ambe are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Haba definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Haba gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Ambe lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ambe lands a nice shot to the head.
