The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miller scores with a one two! Xavier had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Xavier tries to clinch up. Xavier closes this distance looking for a takedown but Miller circles away. Xavier is looking to clinch but Miller is avoiding it.
Scott Miller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The fight stays on the outside here - Xavier looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Xavier tries to clinch there but Miller circles away.
Xavier tries to clinch but Miller moves out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Xavier moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Left hook, right uppercut from Miller. Miller keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Xavier blocks a leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miller stuffs the takedown attempt from Xavier. Xavier gets slowly back to his feet. Scott Miller has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Charles Xavier. Xavier just misses with a punch to the body.
Horrible takedown by Xavier or perhaps it was just good defense by Miller which made him look bad. Miller fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Nice uppercut there from Miller. Xavier wants to clinch up but Miller keeps it at a distance. Xavier takes a head kick and keeps coming.
It looks like Charles Xavier has been cut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A decent looking cross lands there for Miller. Miller keeps the fight on the outside. Xavier plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Miller slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Miller is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Miller scores with a nice right hand.
Xavier is rocked! BOOM! Miller lands a beautiful left hook that drops Xavier. Xavier tries to recover but Miller is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Xavier lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
