Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sea Level Cain (ranked 3140 p4p, 381 weight class) and Luke Rockstar (ranked 13170 p4p, 614 weight class). Rockstar is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by You're The Best Around. Luke Rockstar is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
25 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sea Level Cain! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
24 - 20 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Luke Rockstar! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cain throws a hook to the side of Rockstar's head but Rockstar sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Cain tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Rockstar manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. A good leg kick by Cain. A swing and a miss from Rockstar. Cain throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
It looks like Luke Rockstar has been cut. Cain connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Rockstar momentarily.
Rockstar shoots for a double leg takedown but Cain sprawls well. He's pushed Rockstar's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Cain throws a series of punches but Rockstar moves out of range. Rockstar scores with the left hand. Cain knows he should have avoided that one. Rockstar lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Cain swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Rockstar moves forwards but Cain connects with a nice, crisp jab. Rockstar takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
The fight stays on the outside here - Cain looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Rockstar checks a leg kick. Rockstar stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Cain. Cain lands with a thumping leg kick.
Cain misses with the body kick and Rockstar counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Cain wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rockstar loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Rockstar won't allow Cain to sweep him here. Cain controls Rockstar momentarily but Rockstar frees himself. Cain is pulling down on Rockstar's head to control his posture. Cain wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Rockstar is now in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Cain blocking the ground and pound attempt from Rockstar. Cain is trying to stand up here but Rockstar is controlling him well. Cain wants to control but Rockstar is keeping busy and won't allow it. Cain moves into full guard.
Rockstar trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Rockstar sitting in guard here, content to control. Cain preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Rockstar stopping the sweep attempt from Cain. Cain is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Rockstar throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Rockstar is working Cain over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cain controls Rockstar momentarily but Rockstar frees himself. Cain is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Rockstar working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Cain pulls Rockstar in close to prevent any damage.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Rockstar looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Cain misses with a hook. Rockstar scoring well with a low kick there.

Rockstar avoids a kick to the body.
And Rockstar tries to counter it with a takedown but Cain pushes his down on his head and steps out. Cain throws a nice inside leg kick. Cain pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Rockstar feints the counter takedown. Cain looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Cain tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rockstar swats him away and circles back towards the center. Cain misses with a straight left. Rockstar throws a leg kick that misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rockstar takes a head kick and keeps coming.
That has opened up Luke Rockstar's cut even more. Rockstar blocks a leg kick. Cain shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Cain buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Rockstar. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Rockstar misses with a lunging right hand
and Cain counters with a nice body kick.
Cain throws a series of punches but Rockstar avoids them all with ease. The fight moves into the clinch position. Cain lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Cain misses with a hook from the clinch. Cain breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Rockstar pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Cain will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Cain lands a glancing blow to the side of Rockstar's head. Cain drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rockstar tries to buck Cain off but Cain is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sea Level Cain dominated that round. The cut man is working on Luke Rockstar's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Cain. Cain keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Nice cross by Cain. Cain looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Rockstar has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Cain. Cain is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Rockstar can do to turn this around? The fighters circle momentarily. Rockstar darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Rockstar blocks a low kick nicely. Cain looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. And Rockstar tries to counter it with a takedown but Cain pushes his down on his head and steps out. Rockstar chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Cain can pounce on him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. No luck for Cain with that takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sea Level Cain. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cain closes the distance and clinches up with Rockstar, looking for a takedown. Cain pushes Rockstar against the cage but Rockstar circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. A solid body kick from Rockstar. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Cain looks to land a left hand but Rockstar moved out of range nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rockstar checks the leg kick nicely there.
Nice straight punches there by Cain. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Cain. Rockstar scores with a jab. Rockstar digs a good body shot into Cain's ribs. Rockstar takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Rockstar feints and then cracks Cain's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Cain down. Rockstar looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Cain gets full guard. Cain working a defensive guard here.
Rockstar stands and throws Cain's legs to the side, diving into side control. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Cain tries to bench press Rockstar off him but Rockstar keeps the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cain regains half guard there - taking advantage of Rockstar's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Cain controlling the position well. Rockstar is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Rockstar is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Cain is trying to get back to full guard. Cain is not content to let Rockstar control the position.

Cain is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Rockstar tries to get to full guard but Cain has control of the leg. Rockstar moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cain controlling from the top position. We've been hearing good reports from Cain's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Luke Rockstar has got the better of the ground game so far. Rockstar is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Rockstar pulls Cain in close to prevent any damage. Rockstar wants to sweep here but Cain controlling him for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rockstar lands a leg kick that knocks Cain off balance momentarily. Rockstar takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Rockstar scores with a body shot.
Rockstar gets caught napping as Cain dives in and scores a takedown. Rockstar manages to retain guard. Rockstar looking for a sweep. Not yet Rockstar, not yet. Cain trying to control but Rockstar is working from the bottom. Cain is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The cut above Luke Rockstar's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Cain throws an overhand right that lands on Rockstar's shoulder, as Rockstar tries to avoid the shot. Rockstar changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Rockstar connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Cain tries for a takedown but Rockstar sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Cain looks to land a body kick but Rockstar moved away. Rockstar moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Cain ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rockstar moves away. Cain pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. A slow jab from Cain misses its intended target. Sea Level Cain is winning the standup battle so far. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Cain throws a head kick but Rockstar moves out of range.
Sea Level Cain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cain gets a clinch. Rockstar lands a right hand. Rockstar has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Rockstar misses with some punches.

Rockstar tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cain swats him away and circles back towards the center. Cain lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cain looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Rockstar is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Rockstar is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Rockstar is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Cain's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Cain's back! Cain trying to control but not successfully. A lull in the action here.
Rockstar is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rockstar gets his hands free as Cain looks to control. Rockstar lands a punch to the side of the head from the back. Rockstar connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Cain to escape the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cain is working hard here to advance position. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Rockstar looking to soften up his opponent with punches.
Rockstar has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Cain. Cain is in bad spot here.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Sea Level Cain. I think Cain has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
