Nice sprawl there from Izquierdo as Gay shoots in.
Gay shoots for a double leg takedown but Izquierdo sprawls well. He's pushed Gay's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Gay tries for a takedown but Izquierdo sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tyroon Gay. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Izquierdo cracks Gay with a good jab.
Gay dives in for a single leg takedown but Izquierdo sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Gay is defended easily by Izquierdo.
Izquierdo looks like he wants to counter punch here.

Gay shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Izquierdo cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Izquierdo is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Gay rolls with it to try and escape but Izquierdo cranks on the arm and Gay is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
