The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Motu connects with a nice looking jab.
Horrible takedown attempt by Motu or perhaps it was just good defense by Huber, which made it look bad.

Huber gets a double leg takedown into Motu's guard.
We've been hearing good reports from Huber's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Huber is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Motu defends it well.

Huber working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Motu turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Huber off and cradles Motu's limp body as Huber celebrates with his corner.

After winning the bout, Carl Huber thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
