Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Luiz Franca (ranked 1777 p4p, 225 weight class) and Kabala Magaluff (ranked 1152 p4p, 153 weight class). Franca kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The Greatest Showman. Magaluff has chosen Shalom as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Magaluff has one of Franca's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.
Franca has hold of Magaluff's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Magaluff tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Franca cranks the arm and Magaluff screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Magaluff, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Luiz Franca!
Luiz Franca decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
