Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mario Santana (ranked 5545 p4p, 416 weight class) and Jan Hradek (ranked 5006 p4p, 386 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Mario Santana has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Mario Santana seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jan Hradek!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Ryoma Takatsuka and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santana stuffs the takedown.
Santana closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Santana lands in his opponent's guard.
Hradek should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Hradek is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Santana is stalling in the full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Santana postures up in Hradek's guard and throws a big left but Hradek blocks it.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hradek is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Santana slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Hradek has one of Santana's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.

Hradek is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Hradek wants to control but Santana postures up.
Santana is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Hradek will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Santana knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hradek on the ground.

Santana wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hradek keeps working.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hradek is not content to let Santana control the position.
Hradek gets back to full guard.

Santana dives in for a single leg takedown but Hradek sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Hradek feints the counter takedown.
Santana gets the takedown into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Santana throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Hradek tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Santana is in Hradek's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hradek working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Santana doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Hradek is tightening it up a little... Santana has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Santana reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Santana taps out! Nice BJJ there by Hradek!
