Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pierre St George (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hutch Gibson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pierre St George! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hutch Gibson! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Elvis Blanc and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! St George fails with the takedown. St George throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gibson's waist but Gibson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing St George off to one side. Gibson stuffs the takedown attempt from St George. St George gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pierre St George. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gibson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. St George moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. St George fails to land the takedown. Gibson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in St George's guard. St George avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Gibson would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Gibson scoring with some ground and pound. St George is looking for a triangle but Gibson pushes his legs off easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gibson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gibson chips away with some ground and pound. Gibson preventing the sweep. Gibson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Gibson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Gibson's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Gibson content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. St George can't keep his opponent in guard - Gibson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. St George trying to hold on to Gibson's head to control him but Gibson postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Gibson decides to stand up. Gibson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming St George to the mat! St George manages to get full guard. St George is breathing heavily. Gibson content to stall in guard here. Gibson works over St George with some ground and pound from guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. St George wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. St George is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Gibson is controlling him. St George looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gibson is one step ahead there. Gibson stands up and waves to St George to follow him. St George shoots and misses and Gibson counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Gibson controlling the action here.

Gibson stands up out of the half guard. Gibson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming St George to the mat! St George manages to get full guard. Gibson advances position into side control! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Gibson taking a breather here. Gibson decides to stand back up. Gibson steps back and let's St George get back to his feet. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Gibson clinches up against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hutch Gibson dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
St George shoots and misses and Gibson counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Gibson scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Gibson landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Gibson takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. St George is trying to maintain the position but Gibson is very close to passing his half guard. Gibson content to control rather than advance. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Gibson is nestled in close to St George, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
That's one minute gone in the round. St George has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Gibson is working away from the top position though. St George is looking to escape. Gibson takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Well, if Gibson is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Gibson gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Gibson throws a right and a left that both miss. Gibson throws a right hand that St George ducks under and follows up with a left that St George also avoids with ease. Gibson lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fight stays on the outside here - Gibson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. St George doesn't succeed with the takedown and Gibson counters with a takedown into side control. Hutch Gibson has got the better of the ground game so far. Gibson moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. St George wants to control but Gibson postures up. Gibson taking a breather here. Gibson landing strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gibson in side control lands a decent elbow. Gibson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. St George is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Gibson working away. Gibson landing a few strikes. St George is looking to reverse the position. Gibson landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Gibson is staying tight to St George's torso, preventing him from escaping. St George is trying to improve his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Gibson working the ground and pound. Gibson cracks St George with a big right hand but St George just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Gibson landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Gibson controlling from side mount. Gibson decides to stand back up. St George shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Gibson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in St George's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hutch Gibson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Gibson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. St George looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. St George tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Gibson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Gibson trying to control the position but St George is working away. The referee asks Gibson politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Gibson prefers to stall for the moment though. St George manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Gibson controlling the position well. Gibson has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Gibson wants to improve his position but St George is controlling well.

St George wants to control from the top but Gibson keeps moving. Gibson trying to strike off his back.
St George wanted to stand there but Gibson had control of the position. Gibson looking for a sweep. Not yet Gibson, not yet.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Gibson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but St George moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Gibson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Gibson showed some decent athleticism there. St George tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Gibson perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. St George wants to get back to full guard. Gibson seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. St George wants to get back to full guard. Gibson is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
That's three minutes gone in the round. St George wants to sweep but Gibson has passed to side control! Gibson decides to take the fight back to the feet. Gibson gets a clinch. St George tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Gibson lands a body shot. A nice left hand lands by Gibson.

That's four minutes gone in the round. St George wants to break free but Gibson has control.

Gibson gets a trip takedown into half guard. Gibson works his foot free and advances to mount. St George is in a horrible position here. Gibson smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Pierre St George has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Gibson cracks St George with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

And that's the end of the fight! Hutch Gibson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Gibson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
