Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tony Cornell (ranked 6903 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wotan Yashweh (ranked 3538 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tony Cornell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wotan Yashweh! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Wesley Smith and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yashweh shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Cornell sprawls well. Cornell wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Yashweh gets slowly back to his feet. Yashweh has a takedown stuffed. Cornell appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Cornell cracks Yashweh with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Yashweh is trying hard to land a takedown here. Cornell sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Tony Cornell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wotan Yashweh. Cornell tries to clinch there but Yashweh circles away.
Yashweh misses with a takedown attempt and Cornell counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Cornell feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Yashweh's calf. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cornell stuffs the takedown. Yashweh moves to clinch but Cornell breaks away and Cornell counters with a nice low kick that buckles Yashweh's knee momentarily. Yashweh tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Cornell swivels and escapes. Yashweh wants to clinch enabling Cornell to counter with a crisp jab.
It looks like Wotan Yashweh has been cut. Tony Cornell is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cornell lands a right hook to the body.
Cornell ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Cornell connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Cornell lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Cornell throws the kick towards the body but Yashweh avoids it. Yashweh shoots for a double leg takedown but Cornell sprawls well. He's pushed Yashweh's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Yashweh shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Cornell counters with a crisp right that sends Yashweh to the canvas! Cornell follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tony Cornell!
