TWGC 27 (145lbs, D1): Finals - Round 1 PBP Commentary


Coming up we have a featherweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between David Morrison Jr. (ranked 1954 p4p, 108 weight class) and Marcinho Sitsongrit (ranked 623 p4p, 71 weight class). Morrison Jr. comes to the cage accompanied by Face The Pain. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the featherweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 22 wins and 8 losses; David Morrison Jr.! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, with a TWGC record of 10 wins and 2 losses; Marcinho Sitsongrit!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paulsen Ambrosius and Patrick Alders.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Sitsongrit bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Morrison Jr. is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Mello MMA, so we'll see if he gets out of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sitsongrit thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Morrison Jr. tries to bench press Sitsongrit off him but Sitsongrit keeps the position.
Sitsongrit wants to control but Morrison Jr. is keeping him busy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sitsongrit is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
