Coming up we have a featherweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Timur Dudayev (ranked 6746 p4p, 0 weight class) and Winston Cooper (ranked 4374 p4p, 357 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the featherweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Timur Dudayev! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 1 losses; Winston Cooper! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Aafke Stam and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Cooper forces Dudayev back against the cage and clinches. Cooper drags the fight down to the ground.
Dudayev has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Dudayev sitting in guard, not really doing much. Cooper is trying to keep Dudayev in close.
Dudayev avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Dudayev wants to control from the top but Cooper keeps moving. Cooper is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cooper wants to sweep but no luck. Cooper is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Dudayev frees his head nicely. Oh but Cooper has switched to an armbar! Dudayev is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!

After the fight, Winston Cooper was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly. |
