Lotus's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Eye of the tiger. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that MIchael Adams was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paulsen Ambrosius and Saam Ante.


The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.

Adams tries to control Lotus's body but Lotus pushes him off. Adams squirms to his side and now Lotus has his back!

Lotus controlling the position well here. Adams rolled but Lotus kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Lotus has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Lotus's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Adams really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lotus. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Lotus seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Adams for as long as he can get away with.
