PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight kickboxing rules bout between Tong Po (ranked 4101 p4p, 424 weight class) and Gary Saxton (ranked 23937 p4p, 565 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Po uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Saxton.
Saxton tries a head kick but it misses.
Saxton lands a glancing blow to the side of Po's head.
Po uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Saxton.
Saxton swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Saxton looks to land a right hand but Po moved out of range.
Saxton turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Saxton throws a hook but Po avoids it easily.
Saxton misses the jab.
Saxton tries to close the distance and clinch but Po swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Saxton throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Po throws a right and a left that Saxton avoids nicely.

Saxton tries to clinch but Po moves out of range.
Saxton tries to bum rush Po with a series of wild strikes but Po uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Po throws a jab but it's blocked by Saxton.
Saxton drops his guard momentarily, allowing Po to crack him with a picture perfect lead left hook! Boom! Down goes Saxton! Oh, he's in big trouble - I don't like his chances here as the referee's count reaches 5. 6,7,8,9...10! He's out! Po takes it!
