Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Yoshi Fujiwara (ranked 340 p4p, 52 weight class) and Captain Gonza (ranked 612 p4p, 85 weight class). Gonza comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Many Men kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Yoshi Fujiwara! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Captain Gonza! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Phil Schofield and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gonza feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Fujiwaras jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Fujiwara moves out of range of the strikes. Fujiwara changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Fujiwara dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Gonza throws a nice looking combination but Fujiwara bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Gonza uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Fujiwara. Fujiwara slips under a jab. Gonza cracks Fujiwara with an open hand slap. Fujiwara on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Gonza misses with a looping left. Gonza staying out of range there. Fujiwara slips under a jab. Fujiwara fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Good exchange - Gonza coming out on top. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Gonza pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Gonza misses with an uppercut. Gonza looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Gonza throws a lazy right hand but Fujiwara sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Fujiwara changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fujiwara scores with a hook. Gonza scores with a jab to the head.
Captain Gonza seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gonza throws a hook but Fujiwara blocks it. Gonza lands a lovely overhand right. Fujiwara ducks under a wild hook from Gonza. Gonza scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Gonza might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Nice jab there from Gonza. Gonza avoids the body shot from Fujiwara.
The fighters circling - Gonza throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Fujiwara half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Fujiwara moves out of range of the strikes. Fujiwara attempts a counter takedown but Gonza avoids it well and moves away. Nice sprawl there from Gonza as Fujiwara shoots in. Gonza swinging wildly here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fujiwara on the wrong end of a nice hook. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Gonza throws a good cross that connects.

A telegraphed right hand from Gonza misses the target. Fujiwara shoots in for a takedown but Gonza shows good takedown defense. Gonza cracks Fujiwara with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Fujiwara gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Gonza. Gonza cracks Fujiwara with an open hand slap. Captain Gonza is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Fujiwara keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Fujiwara changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Gonza swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Fujiwara works Gonza's body with a nice hook. Gonza swings widly with a right hand
so Fujiwara counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fujiwara is looking to work some ground and pound but Gonza has wrist control. Gonza working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Fujiwara. Fujiwara with a flurry of punches that miss. Fujiwara throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Gonza works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Fujiwara lands a couple of decent looking shots. Fujiwara throwing strikes from guard but Gonza blocks nicely. Fujiwara is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Gonza avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Gonza wriggles free and stands up. Gonza scores with a crisp jab that stopped Fujiwara in his tracks. Fujiwara drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gonza utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Gonza has control of Fujiwara's left arm, preventing Fujiwara from doing any damage. Fujiwara is in close to Gonza's body, working some short punches and elbows. Fujiwara is fighting to break Gonza's control of his arms but Gonza is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. This has been an exciting period of action! Gonza working a defensive guard here.
Fujiwara stands up over Gonza, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Fujiwara looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Gonza has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Fujiwara postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Captain Gonza dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Fujiwara changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gonza tries to avoid it but Fujiwara manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gonza to the ground. Gonza escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Captain Gonza seems to be getting the better of the standup. Gonza lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Fujiwara displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Gonza throws out the jab. Fujiwara feinted with a counter takedown. Fujiwara comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. A big right from Gonza misses. Fujiwara shoots in for a takedown but Gonza shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Gonza has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Gonza scores with a jab. Fujiwara avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Gonza scores with a hook to the body. Fujiwara takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gonza lands with a right hand. Fujiwara fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yoshi Fujiwara. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fujiwara tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gonza was well out of range. Poor timing from Fujiwara.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gonza rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Fujiwara moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Fujiwara misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Gonza.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Gonza defending well as Fujiwara loads up on a big left hand. Gonza slips under a jab. It seemed like Gonza was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Fujiwara misses with a hook to the body
enabling Gonza to counter with a crisp jab. Fujiwara goes for a double leg but Gonza avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Gonza continues to drive forward. Gonza leaves Fujiwara with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Fujiwara takes a shot right to the bread basket. Fujiwara drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Gonza misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Gonza misses with a looping left. Gonza throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Fujiwara on the side of the head. Gonza drops Fujiwara with a straight right hand, right on the button! Gonza follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Captain Gonza! A very excited looking Captain Gonza made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
