Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kalkupalhu Ditti!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jake Petersen!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Peter Branson and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ditti with a jab.
Ditti tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Petersen looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Ditti looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Petersen wants to counter with a clinch but Ditti pushes him away.
Ditti leaves Petersen with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Ditti definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Petersen is working for takedown but Ditti is calmly controlling the position for now.

Ditti pushes Petersen back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Ditti is pushing Petersen up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Petersen tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ditti sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Petersen somewhat.

Petersen with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Ditti to score with a decent uppercut.

Petersen is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

and Ditti counters with a three punch combo that has Petersen backing up. Petersen nods at Ditti to acknowledge the strikes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Petersen dives in and grabs Ditti's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ditti pushes down on Petersen's head and hops out.

Ditti wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Petersen is trying to drag Ditti to the mat but Ditti just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Ditti misses with a body punch.

Petersen jumps guard.
Ditti has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Ditti is looking to stand up but Petersen won't let him.
Ditti throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Petersen works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Ditti trying to control the position from guard on top but Petersen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Kalkupalhu Ditti is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Petersen is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ditti defends well.
Ditti throws an elbow that misses. Petersen uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Ditti's guard. Nice move by Petersen!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ditti, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
