Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between George Dettman (ranked 7133 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeronimo Barcelos (ranked 1998 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jeronimo Barcelos!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Eddie Farnsworth and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barcelos slips a jab and a cross from Dettman.
Dettman uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Dettman blocks a head kick by Barcelos.
Some wild striking there from Dettman.
Dettman throws the left hand but Barcelos avoids the punch easily.
Barcelos goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Barcelos slips a jab and a cross from Dettman.
Barcelos tries to close the distance and clinch but Dettman swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Barcelos will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Dettman throws a series of punches but Barcelos moves out of range.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

The fight stays on the outside here - Barcelos looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
As Barcelos looks to move away, Dettman throws a big counter combo but Barcelos just gets out of the way.
No joy there for Dettman, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Barcelos misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Barcelos lands a brutal head kick. Dettman looks out on his feet and Barcelos throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
