The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Diaz scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Versu doesn't seem bothered though.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Diaz fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Versu manages to avoid it.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Versu cracks Diaz with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Versu has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Diaz to stand back up!

Diaz is still on wobbly legs! Can Versu finish him?

Versu seems to be stalking Diaz here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastating head kick! Diaz drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!

After the fight, Geo Versu was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
