Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Justin Drake!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Amien Rais!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Luis Engracia and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rais throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Drake scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Rais doesn't seem bothered though.
Rais misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Rais moves into the clinch.
Drake is looking to break free of the clinch but Rais has double underhooks.
Drake working hard to break the clinch.
Drake misses with a punch to the body.
Drake is trying to break free.
Drake wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Rais has him pressed against the cage.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rais has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Drake regains guard immediately.

Drake pulls Rais in close to prevent any damage.
Drake wants to stand up but Rais is controlling him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Rais won't allow Drake to sweep him here.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Drake works over Rais's head and body with a nice combination.


It looks like Amien Rais has been cut.

Drake tries to sprawl but Rais drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Drake misses with some strikes from the bottom.

Rais is looking to stand but Drake has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.

That's time! Drake's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Rais shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Drake's guard.
Rais is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Rais has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Drake is proving hard to escape from.
Rais slips nicely into half guard.

Rais is trying to work for a kimura but Drake is defending well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rais decides to stand up, so the ref orders Drake to his feet.
Drake connects with an inside leg kick.
Drake throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Rais darts in and clinches Drake up against the cage.
Rais wants to take the fight to the mat but Drake manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Rais is trying to pull guard but Drake turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Justin Drake has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Amien Rais.
Rais tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Drake's elbow.
Rais has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Drake after a bit of a struggle.

Drake throws a strike but Rais rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Amien Rais showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Drake tries to bum rush Rais with a series of wild strikes but Rais uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Drake tries to keep at a distance but Rais has taken the fight into the clinch.
Drake is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Rais tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Drake just stands there and leans against the cage.
Drake keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Rais's efforts to push away.
Rais tries to score a body lock takedown but Drake shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Rais wants to counter the offense by Drake and move into the clinch position.
Drake lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Drake.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Rais moves into the clinch.
Drake wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Rais has him pressed against the cage.
Rais has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Drake avoids the elbow strike from Rais, against the cage.
Rais tries to pull guard but Drake holds him up against the cage and eventually Rais drops back down to his feet.
Rais stalls.
Rais fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Drake wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Well, if Rais is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Justin Drake.
I think Rais has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
