Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Piotr Pavlsinki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Charlie Patch!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Emerson Jorge and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Patch moves into the clinch successfully.
Patch tries to pull guard but Pavlsinki holds him up against the cage and eventually Patch drops back down to his feet.
Pavlsinki lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Pavlsinki swings wildly with an uppercut but Patch uses good head movement to avoid it.
Pavlsinki wants to break free but Patch has control.
Patch jumps guard but Pavlsinki stands there with Patch around his waist. Patch gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Patch tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Pavlsinki smiles and moves away.
Piotr Pavlsinki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Charlie Patch.
Pavlsinki lands with an uppercut that bounces Patch off the cage and back into range.


It looks like Charlie Patch has been cut.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Pavlsinki throws a left that rocks Patch and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Pavlsinki dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Patch regain composure!

Patch is still in real trouble! Can Pavlsinki finish him?
Patch tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Pavlsinki wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Pavlsinki content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
A control attempt from Patch but he's now mounted!
Pavlsinki knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Patch on the ground.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Patch is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Patch seems to have recovered his senses.
Patch slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Pavlsinki content to control rather than advance.

Patch is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Pavlsinki pulls his head out easily.
Patch trying to control but Pavlsinki postures up.

Patch looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Pavlsinki wants to free his trapped foot but Patch is holding on for dear life with his legs.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Patch is pressing down on Pavlsinki's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Pavlsinki is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Patch is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Patch is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Pavlsinki is aware though and is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Patch working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pavlsinki doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pavlsinki manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Patch has his foot on Pavlsinki's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pavlsinki works his way back into a safe position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Patch is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Pavlsinki rolls with it to try and escape but Patch cranks on the arm and Pavlsinki is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
