Coming up we have a featherweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Matvey Pavlov (ranked 1450 p4p, 158 weight class) and Grzegorz Gorski (ranked 4153 p4p, 342 weight class). Pavlov's entrance music is Prokofiev - Dance of the Knights. A fine choice. Gorski is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Broken People. Grzegorz Gorski is staring across the ring at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the featherweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 15 wins and 13 losses; Matvey Pavlov! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 9 wins and 2 losses; Grzegorz Gorski!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Pavlov shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Pavlov was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Gorski tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Pavlov wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Gorski is looking for a sweep.

Pavlov's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
We've been hearing good reports from Pavlov's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
