The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Trevor Gratis and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Korchagin fails with the takedown.
Korchagin tries to score a power double leg takedown but Diaz sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Korchagin somewhat.
Diaz appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.

and Korchagin counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Diaz!
Diaz is working to avoid the ground and pound but Korchagin connects with a decent elbow.

Diaz tries to close the distance and clinch up but Korchagin swats him away and circles back towards the center.
