Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gareth Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Grove (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith's entrance music is Stemm - Face The Pain. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Daniel Bishop and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grove misses with a two punch combination.
Grove looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Smith will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Grove misses with a combination
and Smith counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Grove throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Smith counters with a series of strikes. Grove will be more careful next time no doubt.
Smith rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Grove moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Smith connects with a high kick.
Smith plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Grove is rocked!
Smith lands a hook that stumbles Grove back into the cage. Smith follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Grove to the canvas! Smith pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Grove has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
