Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Don Vigo (ranked 2324 p4p, 279 weight class) and Frank Rothco (ranked 2446 p4p, 292 weight class). Don Vigo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Don Vigo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Frank Rothco!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Aleksandr Martynov and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Rothco.
Rothco moves away from the strike by Vigo.
Vigo closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Rothco's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vigo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Vigo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Vigo trying to control but Rothco is working from the bottom.

Vigo scoring with punches to the head and body.
Vigo working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rothco avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Vigo accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Vigo advances to half guard.
Vigo is working for a kimura but Rothco is defending it quite comfortably.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Vigo is nestled in close to Rothco, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Vigo tries to pass to full mount but Rothco defends it.
Vigo working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Vigo is trying for a kimura here. Rothco looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Vigo wins by kimura!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Don Vigo!
After winning the bout, Don Vigo thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
Frank Rothco spoke after the fight, saying 'I can't believe it'.
