Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bob Swarner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Terry Lampard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lampard is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Davidian by Machine Head. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Bob Swarner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Terry Lampard!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Colin Fotheringham and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Swarner closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Swarner thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Swarner looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Swarner tries to score with some ground and pound. Lampard controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Lampard escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Swarner gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Swarner is looking for a kimura but Lampard is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Swarner to get the leverage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Swarner thows a huge punch but Lampard dodges it nicely.

Swarner is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Lampard is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Lampard has his foot on Swarner's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Swarner works his way back into a safe position though.

Swarner sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Lampard's guard.
