Coming up we have a middleweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Tommy Lotus (ranked 7570 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jethro Boudreaux (ranked 6969 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Lotus might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Eye of the tiger. Boudreaux has chosen Zombie Barricades as his entrance music. Tommy Lotus has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

And in the blue corner, fighting out of Sydney, with a TWGC record of 4 wins and 0 losses; Jethro Boudreaux! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Patrick Alders and Aafke Stam.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Lotus darts in and clinches Boudreaux up against the cage. Lotus tries for a takedown but Boudreaux manages to get underhooks.

Lotus's corner is telling him to maintain position. Lotus's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Lotus has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

You can see the frustration on Boudreaux's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Boudreaux really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lotus. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This is a sustained period of stalling by Lotus. Lotus seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Boudreaux for as long as he can get away with. Further stalling from Lotus.

Lotus has the hooks in. Boudreaux is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Lotus is riding his opponent, not letting Boudreaux buck him off.

That's fourteen minutes gone in the round. Boudreaux tries to escape but Lotus has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Lotus just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
