Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Juanito Cortez (ranked 1411 p4p, 34 weight class) and Tee Nah (ranked 2173 p4p, 45 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Cortez might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to $$$. Tee Nah has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Juanito Cortez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
60 - 34 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tee Nah! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nah tries to clinch up. Nah gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Nah throws a punch but it's blocked by Cortez. Nah lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Cortez backwards. A head punch on the inside from Cortez fails to land. Cortez trying to land knees to the body.
Nah lands with a right to the head. Cortez breaks the clinch.
Nah throws a jab but it's blocked by Cortez. Cortez listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
It looks like Tee Nah has been cut. Cortez throws a chopping leg kick but Nah manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Nah tries to close the distance and clinch but Cortez swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. It looked like Cortez wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. A jab from Nah does it's job there. Nah wants to clinch up but Cortez keeps it at a distance. Cortez moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Nah works the jab nicely. Cortez lands a really nice looking cross but Nah seems unphased.
Nah is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Nah on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Cortez throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Nah tries to clinch but Cortez is having none of it. Cortez appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nah blocks a leg kick. Nah ducks right into an uppercut from Cortez. Cortez swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Nah. Cortez fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Nah has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Some wild striking there from Cortez.
Nah ducks into a a hook from Cortez and goes down! He looks in a bit of a mess; will he beat the count?! 4,5,6,7,8 - he's up and looking to carry on! The referee looks into his eyes and sees that he's OK to continue!
That has opened up Tee Nah's cut even more. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nah drops his guard momentarily, allowing Cortez to crack him with a picture perfect lead left hook! Boom! Down goes Nah! Oh, he's in big trouble - I don't like his chances here as the referee's count reaches 5. 6,7,8,9...10! He's out! Cortez takes it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Juanito Cortez! Our winner, Juanito Cortez, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
