Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Magnus Vi Karlson (ranked 2847 p4p, 322 weight class) and Tom Jr Boss (ranked 3725 p4p, 385 weight class). The key to victory for Magnus Vi Karlson has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Magnus Vi Karlson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tom Jr Boss! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Karlson swats away the attempt to clinch by Boss. Boss takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Karlson lets loose with a powerful body kick. Boss will feel that in the morning. Karlson shoots for a double leg takedown but Boss sprawls well. He's pushed Karlson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Boss wants to counter with a clinch but Karlson pushes him away. Karlson fails with the takedown. Karlson drives through and clinches with Boss against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Boss tries to pull guard but Karlson forces him back to his feet, against the cage. A right hook to the body lands for Karlson.
Boss is working for takedown but Karlson is calmly controlling the position for now. Boss tries to score a body lock takedown but Karlson shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Magnus Vi Karlson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tom Jr Boss. Boss breaks the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boss will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Karlson clinches with his opponent.
Karlson landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Boss is trying to stall.
Boss has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Karlson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Karlson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Karlson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Boss, pushing him back against the cage. Boss has had enough of the clinch but Karlson keeps him there for the moment. Boss tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Karlson looking for a takedown. Karlson is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Boss pulls him back up using the underhooks. Karlson pulls guard successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Boss wants to control from the top but Karlson keeps moving. Karlson is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Boss trying to control but Karlson is working from the bottom. Boss forces his way into half guard. Boss performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Karlson wants to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Karlson is looking to control Boss's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Karlson avoid being mounted? Boss works his way into side control. Karlson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Boss on the ground. Boss decides to take the fight back to the feet. Karlson throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Boss. Karlson has taken the fight to the clinch.
Boss is trying to pull guard but Karlson has him pressed against the cage. Karlson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Karlson stalks Boss and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Boss's face. Boss staggers backwards, shaken. Boss fails with the takedown and Karlson counters with a huge uppercut, hook combination that drops Boss! The ref has seen enough - he's dived in to stop the fight! Brutal strikes by Karlson!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Magnus Vi Karlson!
