Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Carl Brooks (ranked 1273 p4p, 152 weight class) and Myles Brady (ranked 1991 p4p, 210 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Brooks might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Eminem - Phenomenal. Brady has chosen Aaron Lewis - Country Boy as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

and Brady connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
We've been hearing reports that Brooks has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Brady walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Brady steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Brooks. That one must have hurt.
Brady scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Brady uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Brooks.
Brady fails to land with a series of punches.
Brooks throws an overhand right that lands on Brady's shoulder, as Brady tries to avoid the shot.
Brady swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Brooks feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Brady sprawling to the canvas! Brady rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Brooks finish him?!
Brady is rocked!
Brooks weaves into range and cracks Brady right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Brady goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Brooks is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Carl Brooks!
Carl Brooks was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
