Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ribaraoi Tawaivuna!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Klaus Silverstein!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paulsen Ambrosius and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tawaivuna closes the distance and clinches up with Silverstein, looking for a takedown. Tawaivuna pushes Silverstein against the cage but Silverstein circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Tawaivuna tries to score a power double leg takedown but Silverstein sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Tawaivuna somewhat.
Tawaivuna shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Silverstein as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ribaraoi Tawaivuna. That's going to take a lot out of him.

It looks like Silverstein might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Tawaivuna uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Silverstein.
Tawaivuna will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Silverstein has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
