Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hijab Pummel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Power (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hijab Pummel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Thomas Power! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Gregory Folan and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Power slips a straight right by Pummel. Power lands a nice leg kick that just misses Pummel's sensitive parts. Pummel is breathing heavily. Power gets in close and instigates a clinch. Power has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Pummel regains guard immediately. Power gets to his feet. Pummel looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Power clinches up against the cage. Power gets control of Pummel's arms and successfully pulls guard. Power will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Pummel won't allow Power to get back to his feet. Power is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Power is looking to advance position but Pummel won't allow it. Still in half guard, Power seems content to control. Ground and pound from Power. Ground and pound from Power. Power controlling the action here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Power stands up out of the half guard. Power closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Power landing knees to the body.

Power has taken the fight to the clinch.
Power is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Power ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Power no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Power manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Pummel manages to get himself to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Power passes Pummel's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Power stands up from half guard. Power dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Pummel. That did some damage! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Power lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Power darts in and clinches Pummel up against the cage. Power escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Power moves into range and clinches up with Pummel. Power gets a trip takedown into half guard. Power decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Pummel tries to keep at a distance but Power has taken the fight into the clinch. Power has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Pummel uses from the top position. Pummel being controlled here momentarily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Power manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Power looking to control and managing it successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. I looks like Power might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Thomas Power dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Power's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Power's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Power darts in and clinches Pummel up against the cage. Nice elbow from Power. Power pulls guard successfully.
Power bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Pummel's guard. Power is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Power gets to his feet - Pummel follows without any prompting. Power looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Pummel! Pummel tries to reverse the position but Power maintains control. Power has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Power takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Let's hope that Power has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Despite being in the dominant position, Thomas Power just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Pummel misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hijab Pummel. That's going to take a lot out of him. Power closes the distance and clinches. Power lands an elbow inside that Pummel shrugs off. Power lands a nice uppercut. Power manages to break the clinch.

Thomas Power showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Power drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Power stands up and we're back to a striking position. Power listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Power darts in and clinches Pummel up against the cage. Power breaks from the clinch.

Pummel has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Power is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Pummel. Power scores with a couple of short elbows. Both fighters are breathing heavily. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Pummel is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Power is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
That's one minute gone in the round. Power content just to control the position here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Power lands an overhand right. Power rushes Pummel and presses him up against the cage. Power taking a breather. Pummel fails to pull guard.
Pummel tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Power has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Pummel is trying to keep an underhook but Power manages to get the takedown into half guard. Power decides to stand and escape the position. Power has closed the distance and engaged Pummel in a clinch.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Power breaks from the clinch.
Power rushes Pummel and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Power landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Power gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Pummel regains guard.

Power distracts Pummel with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Power is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Pummel working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Power doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Power manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Power is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Pummel working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Power has passed into half guard!
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Pummel looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Pummel is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Power pulls his head out easily. Pummel looking for submissions off his back. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Power stands up and beckons Pummel to join him on the feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Thomas Power comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Power has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
