The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mendes has taken the fight to the clinch.

Mendes is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Augusto can't fight it off and eventually Mendes manages to take the fight to the floor. Augusto looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Mendes stays in close to Augusto's body and controls the position.
Mendes pushing down on Augusto's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Mendes has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Mendes takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mendes is cranking Augusto's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Augusto! He's tightened the choke and Augusto is tapping out!
