Coming up we have a lightweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Dollar Hero (ranked 4227 p4p, 407 weight class) and Fallschirm J�ger (ranked 2125 p4p, 233 weight class). Hero comes to the ring accompanied by For Heavy Metal we will die!. J�ger is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by For Heavy Metal we will die!. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 6 wins and 1 losses; Dollar Hero! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 12 wins and 4 losses; Fallschirm J�ger! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Hero keeps the fight on the outside.
J�ger closes the distance and clinches. J�ger wants a takedown but no success here.
Hero has J�ger pressed up against the ropes. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Hero pulls back from the ropes and twists to the side, sending J�ger tumbling to the mat - Hero dives into J�ger's guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Hero (2) vs (0) J�ger J�ger looking to control but Hero passes into half guard.
J�ger is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. J�ger felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hero is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, J�ger has managed to free his arm - good work.

J�ger looking to break Hero's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Hero remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise J�ger will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Hero looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
J�ger seems to be going for a rear naked choke. He has an arm under Hero's chin but Hero turns very nicely into J�ger's guard. Good BJJ skills being displayed there by Hero.

Hero trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. J�ger is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
J�ger had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hero defends it easily.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Hero advances to half guard. Hero trying to control the pace. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. J�ger is looking to improve his position.
Hero is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and J�ger defends it well.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. J�ger has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hero is working away from the top position though. Hero tries to pass the half guard into mount. J�ger knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. J�ger gets back to full guard.
 That's five minutes gone in the round. Hero passes into half guard. Hero wants to pass to mount but J�ger is defending the position. J�ger moves into full guard.

J�ger looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
 That's six minutes gone in the round. Hero wants to control from the top but J�ger keeps moving. J�ger working a defensive guard but Hero manages to pass into side control anyway.

 That's seven minutes gone in the round. J�ger prevents Hero from moving into mount. Hero controls the position. J�ger gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Score +2 for reaching mount: Hero (9) vs (4) J�ger J�ger gets back to half guard. Hero is thwarting J�ger's attempts to control the position.
Hero is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

J�ger moves into full guard.

 That's nine minutes gone in the round. J�ger is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Hero (9) vs (6) J�ger Hero is not content to let J�ger control the position. J�ger wants to pass the guard but Hero is defending well. Hero wants to improve his position but J�ger is controlling well.
 That's ten minutes gone in the round. J�ger trying to pass the guard but Hero defending well. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Hero is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Heavy Metal, so we'll see if he gets out of it. Hero trying to control here.

 That's eleven minutes gone in the round. Hero is pressing down on J�ger's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. J�ger pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hero is keeping the position for now. J�ger passes Hero's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Hero gets back to full guard.

J�ger is pressing down on Hero's thigh, looking to free his foot. Hero is holding on for now. Hero trying to hold on to J�ger's head to control him but J�ger postures up.
 That's fourteen minutes gone in the round. J�ger tries to pass the half guard into mount. Hero knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Hero is pressing down on J�ger's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. J�ger looking to sit in guard and control but Hero gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Hero (11) vs (6) J�ger Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Hero stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. J�ger swivels though and keeps the full guard. Hero wants to control from the top but J�ger keeps moving.
And that's the end of the fight! Hero takes the fight on points by 11 to 6. Dollar Hero is the new lightweight champion! Dollar Hero decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little. |
