Coming up we have a featherweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Miguel Machin (ranked 3141 p4p, 290 weight class) and Sebastian Shot (ranked 2906 p4p, 272 weight class). Machin comes to the ring accompanied by Pandora's Music Box. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

In the red corner, competing out of London, with a TWGC record of 9 wins and 6 losses; Miguel Machin! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 6 losses; Sebastian Shot!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.

Shot is working on a single leg takedown against the ropes. Machin can't fight it off and eventually Shot manages to take the fight to the floor. Machin looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Shot drops back looking for a leg! Machin is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Machin manages to kick Shot off! Shot jumps back into Machin's guard.
Shot wants to control from the top but Machin keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Shot is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Shot wants to control from the top but Machin keeps moving.
Machin seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
Machin wants to control the position but Shot says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Machin wants to control but Shot is keeping busy.

Shot is looking for a kimura but Machin is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Shot to get the leverage.

Shot is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Machin defends it well.

Shot looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Machin is in trouble now - Shot has advanced to mount!

Shot is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Machin has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Machin!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Machin tries to free his leg and advance position but Shot is retaining full guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Shot is on top in guard.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Machin is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Shot is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Shot tries to bench press Machin off him but Machin keeps the position.

Machin is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Shot has escaped the position, nice work there.
Machin trying to control the position but Shot is working away.

Machin is trying to get an arm triangle but Shot is defending well.

Machin tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Machin has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Shot tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Machin wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Machin wants to control but Shot is keeping him busy.

Shot manages to get back to half guard.
Machin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Shot keeps working.

Shot looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Shot is looking to improve his position.
Machin working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Shot's thigh. Shot counters though and makes it back to full guard.
Shot not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Shot is looking for a triangle but Machin pushes his legs off easily.
Shot working a defensive guard here.

Shot is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Machin is aware though and is defending well.

That's eight minutes gone in the round.
Machin sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Shot's guard.
Shot trying to control from the bottom.
Shot is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Shot gets back to full guard.

Shot looking for a guillotine here but Machin defends easily.
Shot looks winded!
Shot keeping moving, preventing Machin from controlling successfully.

Shot is looking to cinch up a triangle. Machin throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Shot's body to avoid the submission. Shot has instead reached around Machin's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Shot arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 9:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Sebastian Shot!
