Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tek Dog (ranked 4450 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pioterus Kowalski (ranked 4502 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tek Dog!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Pioterus Kowalski!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kowalski shoots in for a double leg but Dog sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Dog could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Dog tries for a takedown but Kowalski sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Dog throws a right and a left that Kowalski avoids nicely.

Kowalski rushes Dog and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Kowalski slowing the pace effectively.

Kowalski's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Dog fails with a takedown attempt.
Horrible takedown attempt by Dog or perhaps it was just good defense by Kowalski, which made it look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tek Dog. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kowalski lands a lovely overhand right.
Kowalski tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
And Dog counters with a quick kick to the body but Kowalski blocks it.

Kowalski stuffs the takedown attempt from Dog. Dog gets slowly back to his feet.

A quick step to the side and Dog tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

It looks like Pioterus Kowalski has been cut.
Dog darts in looking for a takedown but Kowalski gets double underhooks and turns Dog into the cage.
Kowalski throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Dog.

Kowalski tries for a takedown but Dog sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

and Kowalski counters by moving into the clinch.

Kowalski's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Kowalski shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Kowalski enables Dog to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kowalski manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Dog avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Kowalski controls Dog momentarily but Dog frees himself.

Kowalski looking for a sweep. Not yet Kowalski, not yet.
Dog is fighting to break Kowalski's control of his arms but Kowalski is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Dog is looking to work some ground and pound but Kowalski has wrist control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Dog shoots in looking for a takedown but Kowalski manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Dog's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

and Dog counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Dog clinches up with Kowalski and pushes him back against the cage.
Kowalski tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Dog wants a takedown.

Dog escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kowalski shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dog but Dog pushes him off and we're back to square one.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Dog misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kowalski misses the shot to the body.
Kowalski tries for a takedown but Dog sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Pioterus Kowalski will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Kowalski tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Dog defends well and Kowalski ends up having to push Dog into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Kowalski wants to clinch up but Dog keeps it at a distance.
Dog quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Tek Dog is winning the standup battle so far.
Kowalski shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Dog sprawls well. Dog wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kowalski gets slowly back to his feet.

Dog gets control of Kowalski's arms and successfully pulls guard. Dog will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Dog is controlling Kowalski's posture.
Dog utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Dog can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kowalski controls the pace.
Dog controls Kowalski momentarily but Kowalski frees himself.

Dog is working an open guard so Kowalski takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kowalski.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Dog darts in and clinches Kowalski up against the cage.
Dog is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kowalski can do to turn this around?
Dog is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Kowalski pulls him back up using the underhooks.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Kowalski throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Dog.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Kowalski shoots in looking for a takedown. Dog tries to sprawl out of it but Kowalski keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dog manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

And that's the end of the fight!
Tek Dog showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Dog has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
