Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Billy Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Rage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Billy Bob has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Billy Bob!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Randy Rage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rage throws a series of punches but Bob avoids them all with ease.

Rage closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Rage lands in his opponent's guard.
Bob is looking to stand up but Rage isn't so interested in that idea.
Bob has momentary wrist control but Rage slips an elbow through the middle.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Rage stands up from Bob's guard - Rage perhaps looking for a knockout.
Rage circles away from the clinch attempt.
Bob fails with an attempt to clinch.

Bob feints and as Rage raises his hands in defense, Bob changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Bob trying to control but Rage is working from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Rage is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Rage pulls Bob in close to his closed guard and prevents Bob from doing any damage or advancing position.

Rage is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Bob won't allow Rage to sweep him here.
Rage is trying to control the position but Bob postures up.
Rage is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Bob is controlling him.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Bob's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Rage controlling Bob's posture.
Bob pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rage is keeping the position for now.
Bob passes Rage's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Rage is trying to maintain the position but Bob is very close to passing his half guard.

Rage tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Bob is keen to just control but Rage is a slippery customer.

Bob is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Rage keeping hold of Bob's head, controlling as best he can.
Rage won't allow Bob to pass to mount.
Bob prevents Rage from improving his position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Rage makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Rage.
Rage looking for a sweep. Not yet Rage, not yet.
Rage looking to control.
Rage looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Rage striking off his back but it's not causing Bob any problems.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Rage is on top in guard.
Rage trying to control but Bob is working from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Rage misses with a body kick.
Bob is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Bob wants to clinch up but Rage keeps it at a distance.
Rage throws a right and a left that Bob avoids nicely.
Bob fails with an attempt to clinch.

Rage moves into range and clinches up with Bob.

Bob decides to pull guard.

Rage is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bob is looking to stand up but Rage isn't so interested in that idea.
Bob is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Bob has a closed guard, preventing Rage from standing up.
Rage is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Bob escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rage gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Rage drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Rage jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Rage stands and throws Bob's legs to the side, diving into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Rage cracks Bob with a big elbow.
Bob seems a little lost for a moment, as Rage dominates the positioning.
Let's hope that Rage has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Rage decides to stand back up.
Bob clinches but Rage breaks the clinch
and Rage counters with a lovely shot to the body.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Bob gets caught flat footed, as Rage shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Rage throwing strikes but missing.
Bob tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Rage advances position into side control!
Rage remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Bob is trying to control Rage's posture but Rage avoids it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Rage in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Bob is trying to improve his position.
You can see the frustration on Bob's face as Rage controls the position.
Bob is working to avoid the ground and pound but Rage connects with a decent elbow.
Rage taking a breather here.

Rage stands up and beckons Bob to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Randy Rage showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Bob tries to clinch up

so Rage counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Rage is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Rage content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Rage is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Rage trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Bob keeping moving, preventing Rage from controlling successfully.

Despite being in the dominant position, Randy Rage just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Bob takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Bob gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Rage counters with a takedown into side control.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Rage wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bob keeps working.
Bob seems a little lost for a moment, as Rage dominates the positioning.
Bob is not content to let Rage control the position.
Rage lands an elbow.
Bob struggling a bit here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rage advances to full mount.
Rage takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Rage breaks from Bob's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Rage with shots to the head and body - Bob looks very uncomfortable down there.
Rage sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Bob tries to lock up and control but Rage gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Rage jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Bob is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Bob and Rage has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Rage grinds an elbow into Bob's temple.


Bob is rocked!
You can see the frustration on Bob's face as Rage controls the position.
Bob tries to buck Rage off but Rage is having none of it.
Rage is staying tight to Bob's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Rage decides to stand back up.
Randy Rage is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Bob gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Rage stays in close to Bob's body and controls the position.

Rage gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Bob tries to clinch

and Rage counters with a shoot takedown. Bob fights it but they end up in guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bob trying to keep a closed guard but Rage is proving a slippery customer.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Rage is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Billy Bob has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Randy Rage comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Rage has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
