PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Lesnar (ranked 931 p4p, 46 weight class) and Paul Greenland (ranked 1575 p4p, 73 weight class). Greenland has chosen I Wanna Be Like You as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Mark Lesnar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Paul Greenland!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lesnar fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Greenland to the ground. Lesnar is now in Greenland's guard.
Lesnar wants to control from the top but Greenland keeps moving.
Lesnar prevents Greenland from getting back to his feet.
Lesnar is working Greenland over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Greenland is looking to stand up but Lesnar isn't so interested in that idea.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Greenland is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Lesnar.

and Lesnar counters with a single leg into guard. Greenland didn't expect that.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

That was a close round but I would say that Mark Lesnar will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Greenland slaps away a takedown attempt from Lesnar, before circling back to the center of the mat.

No joy there for Greenland, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mark Lesnar will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Lesnar is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Greenland wants to get back to his feet.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Lesnar connects with a nice short shot to Greenland's temple.

And that's the end of the fight!
Mark Lesnar showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lesnar, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Mark Lesnar tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
