The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akerfeldt gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Akerfeldt throws a body kick that misses.
Kuervos lands with an overhand left.
Akerfeldt takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Akerfeldt fails with a takedown attempt.
Kuervos thuds a left hand into Akerfeldt's body.

and Kuervos counters with a nice uppercut.
Kuervos throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Akerfeldt stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Kuervos misses with a two punch combination.
Akerfeldt feints the counter takedown.
Kuervos leaves Akerfeldt with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Vaston Kuervos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bjorn Akerfeldt.

Akerfeldt throws a head kick but Kuervos moves out of range.
Kuervos was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Kuervos swats away the attempt to clinch by Akerfeldt.
A little feinted left hand from Kuervos on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Kuervos lands a nice shot that snaps Akerfeldt's head back.
Akerfeldt looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Akerfeldt takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Akerfeldt takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Nice shot lands for Kuervos.
Donk. Kuervos catches Akerfeldt right on the button with a cross.
An inside leg kick from Akerfeldt misses.
Kuervos lands with a straight right. Akerfeldt didn't see that one coming.
Akerfeldt needs to keep his hands up - Kuervos had a free shot at his head there.
Akerfeldt is rocked!
Kuervos scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Kuervos moves into the clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kuervos lands an uppercut.
Akerfeldt is still on wobbly legs! Can Kuervos finish him?
Kuervos throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Akerfeldts head.
Kuervos creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Akerfeldt's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Akerfeldt drops to his knees and Kuervos pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
